help is it time to flush yet

I'd rather not use nutrients so I don't have to smoke nutrients. I use organic matter so I don't starve them but I also don't feed them chemicals ever . And cigarette ash is grey not white.
Food for thought, but plants don't eat "organic matter" like worm castings etc.

They eat N, P, K, Ca, Mg etc. Your plants eat the same "chemicals" they are just the result of reactions in the soil instead of being provided directly.

This is why hydroponics works by just putting "chemicals" in the water, it's what the roots take up.
 
As long as your shit ain't popping when you smoke it your good. Flushing can remove harshness and some of that feeding stank.
