That's cleared it up for me.

So my tap water ec is currently 0.16 and the ppm reading on the meter shows 75.

that my friend is soft water mines around say an 0.25 i prefer soft to hard what you planning on growing in soil or coco

Would soft water be considered good for growing in peat moss and perlite. Plagron Light mix.
