Hollow stems, good, bad?

Some strains I have grown are hollow stemmed, some not. The internet is massively conflicting on this subject, as to whether this is a good thing, or a bad thing.. What say you AFN?

Hollow stems are the water conduits, larger dia stems will become hollow as it grows and ages and becomes "woody".

Jeff says hollow stemmed plants grow faster. He’s just looking at it from a breeders standpoint. I’d rather have stronger stems if I’m putting them out into the high desert monsoons, that’s for damn sure.

I was told at a young age smoking stems puts lead in your pencil.

Don't know about that but have dropped seeds into an old car push in lighter and inhaled the smoke when it was dry times.

I was told by an old timer when I was about 14/15 that smoking stems will give u chronic headaches lol

Never really questioned it tbh so will be glad to see everyone’s opinion lol
