How to follow someone?

OK, so i clicked on "follow" what happens now? - nothing as far as i can see - are you supposed to get updates or something??? i'm learning this shit - slowly but surely - havent been on a forum in over 10 yrs.

u'll get an alert whenever the peep u followed postz anything anywhere....or at least that'z how it'z suppozed to work ppp

The alerts go in your "news feed." Click on your name, and then news feed. Anyone you've followed, it will show you any posts, likes, replies, etc that they have done.
