So if folks don't need to care what the medicine looks like, just that it works, then mostly it doesn't matter it sounds like

Tap-water is so specific it is hard to make broad statements for the entire country, let alone the world, until someone knows what they have...I will say if you grow things you consume with your tap water, then growing cannabis plants with it should be no different. If you're not comfortable growing your plants with it, the assumption is your water isn't safe to consume/brush your teeth/bathe with, etc.
