I need to pick up some nutes for my grow but I’m late to the game (grow) and at the bottom on the barrel for cash. What is a good like general purpose or do it all nutrient on the cost effective side? Preferably from Amazon

This is a free promo that @Greenleaf Nutrients does, you just pay shipping….

Personally, I use megacrop 1 part, with Sweet Candy added during flower. Their Sea Kelp and Calmag Pro are also great. Hope it helps. Should be enough nutrients for several grows… :pass:

Awesome thank you!

is there like an all in one/general purpose nutrient?

What are people’s thoughts on bat guano vs. worm castings?

Yes, 1-part MegaCrop, one of the few true including-everthing-type base nutrient products, plus bloom booster(s) (also cheap from GreenLeaf) will do a good job, and at very low cost. Near as simple but with more ability to be customized, such as for veg vs. bloom, consider 2-part MegaCrop.
They actually have a bag of this in the promo that the guy before mentioned. thanks!

What are the opinions on bat guano vs. worm castings? Pros and cons of each?

It's real simple for you to make the decision which one to get.
Bat guano is for vegetative growth. You are fully covered with MegaCrop.

Earthworm castings are for any time. You're not going to use it as you may think.

MegaCrop, used properly, is very friendly to organic practices. Weekly introductions of microbes is extremely beneficial. Recharge is a great product and available just about everywhere in the US . With quality EWC, not big store bought, can be brewed into a compost tea. A handful of room castings into a few gallons of water with one tablespoon of molasses per gallon and brewed for 24 to 36 hours. A cheap little aquarium pump with clear plastic tubing and a air stone. If you don't want to hassle that, just get some Recharge. I would suggest doing both for the diversity of microbes.

For your first run with Mega Crop, I would suggest using a feed schedule recommended to me on my first grow.
@pop22 uses 500-550 Total ppm at each watering. Total ppm is starting water ppm + what ever MC you add to make it to that number. pH'ed to 5.8-6.2, I believe on the pH.
