So, I was browsing for some COB fixtures and I came across this guy in the UK who either got something really spectacular, or is trying to pull a fast one:

I checked that link just takes u too a grow light (expensive one)
Prohydro are known sellers for grow gear,but when click sellers other items it says none.
Which is wierd as they usually have loads

Its mad how far the light is from plants,my hps is like 6 inches from the plant it is in air cooled hood though

Quantum boards are also a viable option.
A main difference between QBs and COBs is that QBs provide less intense light that comes from a larger surface.

Those are good if you don't want to build them. One per plant is ideal.

I luv my clu048 1212s. I run 20 of them in a 4x8 at 700w total and it doubled yield of my area compared to hps plus better quality
