No, you cannot tell the sex of a seed just by looking at it, neither can you with an embryo, which would be the same stage in comparison, neither can you with any livings on earth (plants included), you have to wait for this living to grow enough to declare its sex (foetal stage for mammals for example), the only way to tell by the seed is a dna test
