I've got to show you this ice machine float valve that I want to use as a mini controller. I have been carrying water to my system and cursing the large volume of water that sits in the controller. This new device probably holds a cup of water/120 ml. rather than 3.5 gallons/13.5 Liters.

MMMMMMMM ice machine,wtf. waaaaaaiiit--:-/what "Noo..you Joking..?" ice machine float valve..Makes me dream of summer and sunshine. Sounds really cool...But hey bro,,, carrying that much water is free exercise..the wise guys says, that's healthy for you .

If the new float don`t work,, you can always use a smaller controller, and stack some books underneath to get the right water lewel,,,, The travel length of the float valve equels the hight of the controller = with the right bucket (controller) prox about 2-3 liters maybe less :smoke: :thumbs:.About my killer yeilds,, That Critical jack i did.
1,52 gpw on a 91 day period 30 days with 54w and 61 with 100w. :Cheers:

That´s a nice device,, small and compact. :thumbs:
It whould be a shame to paint it black.Black plastic goes along way :smoke:

I like it clear but I want to slow the growth of algae. Do you think it's necessary to paint it?

Ksj do you have any suggestions as to what can I add to my water to keep it clean or do you think recirculating will be enough? I've been using SM-90 but it did not work well last time.

Any exciting plans this weekend? I've got a list of carpentry projects. Including cutting the base of my res down. It needs to be a little shorter.

I whould cover it up with som black plastic, and leave as is, think itś a shame to paint it black ..

Im the happy camper in scandinavia and,we have clean water right out the tap, i newer had a issue with filth in any of my home made setups. and i have no clue about sm-90,,i do use cannazym and it keeps my roots in a much better colour ( white ). think AN have some similar product also, Going RO or Di resin is a possibility also.

What do you think of RO? I tried distilled water one grow but decided the plants could use the extra Mg/Cal. Your growing in tap water aren't you? I'll try that cannazym. Enjoy the sun. It's overcast here all weekend Gotta go grocery shopping today and cook this afternoon.

Think i can remember a picture with brown roots, didn`t look to healthy.. i used the cannazym on 1/2 doasage the last grow.. and my roots came out all nice and white, i also had res temps about 25c+
in a grow, with out any problems,,, so something is working regarding the cannazym :smoke:
I think the recirc. will fix it all, if the stagnet water was the problem, then it should be solved with the recirc. :thumbs:.

I newer tried RO. like you said the plants need the extra mg/cal . But i do have a DI resin filter sitting in a box, i newer got to set it up. Changing out a water source is a big deal, and i do not have the time for failure "need the weed". So yes straight from the tap (ppm 180).

To many new toys and to little time, I bought a raspberry pi 2, and that little fucker is keeping me busy ...Maybe i should have bought a replacement ph probe instead :slaps: .

What kind of nutrients line are you using ???

I'm using Technaflora Recipe For Success. It came with that other res I was using. It's worked well for me but it seems overly complicated. During flowering I'm adding 6 ingredients. I was reading Cannazyme's web site. I'm looking for something simpler.

6 ingredients in flower, that must be expensive

my aresenal is
Canna Aqua veg
Canna Aqua Flores
Cannazym
Grotek Calmax,
Ghe bio root plus

Veg + bio, for veg
Flores + cannazym + cal max. for flower..

This have worked out pretty good so far,, keeping it simple..

Anyways,,, could those 6 ingrediens discolour your roots ???,, i know i had some slight off colour when i used ghe 3 part in my photogrows,,the same goes for there old ghe one part..

Have you thought about just stick to your base nutes,, just a thought ??
