Back then, it was a rarity I wasn't stoned! Power tools ,especially now, won't go anywhere near smoke. I primarily make mid century style furniture for a couple of interior designers. I make a lot of sawdust and play guitar. So, I like my fingers!!!

I have been building wood stuff for decades, although not professionally, and still have all my fingers. One of the things I built several of is classical guitars, which I like to play, so intact fingers are a fine thing for me too.

I'm just not wired like that way. I tend to stick to my training in most things, it has saved mine and other lives. In my mind, training becomes instinctual. It's hard to break from instincts for me.

In some activity, if it ain't instinctual it's too late. Like highway driving on ice. If you have to think about controlling a skid, you will not do it.
