No, I mean they would have taken that shit, and made you prove it’s not from “ill gotten gains” in court. It will be expensive. It will take forever. You might not win.State property here too. But you can put whatever cash you had on you into commissary account and then they take it off the top when you get out
Been a minute since I've had to go through it, but I think if you've got less then $500 on you around here when you're arrested or give yourself up, that $ can go into your account. Or that was how it was in the 90s. I think if you have $501 your screwed and it goes into the system and you get a check for it when you're released
I was arrested for skipping out on my probation! It wasn’t a new charge i caught with that cash on me! After those 20 days i got weekends in jail to finish out the time i got for violating probation and after 3 weekends i got sick of that shit and skipped out on it too! Was told if i was late it was same as not showing and they would keep me not just for weekend but could wind up sitting out all remaining days so i said peace the fuck out if i am doing remaining days it’ll be when they catch me! Went 6 years without getting caught and got sick of not being able to renew my license so I contacted them and they had me come in and pay the back fines i owed and dropped everything! At same time i was on probation out of a different county for another weed charge and stopped going cuz i kept failing drug tests and they did same deal….pay the $600 in fees i owed and dropped probation! No idea how i got away with that shit!That 900 would have become property of the state round these parts
