Guess it depends on the soil and cow shit. Is it aged/composted manure?
place near me sells "composting mulch" for 47/yard but wheni looked at it just seemed like half finished municipal compost

Ive got loads of straw / hay & horse shit and chicken shit in a large pile and instead of throwing it away I'd love to use it somewhere in the garden,
Any ideas on what to do with it cos there is loads, say
12ft square & 10ft high,
Be waste not to use it

Could use them for compost, but probably would want other inputs to balance out the mix. The straw and hay are Brown conposting materials and I believe both the chicken and horse manure should be Nirtogen rich "Green" composting material. Could also use the straw and hay as mulch and/or as part of a Layer/Lasagna/Hugelkultur bed. I'm a newbie at making my own compo though, @WildBill?
