In middleschool my (aforementioned) best friend was *obsessed* with hair metal. We spent an entire summer listening to mixed CDs she had burned of nothing but hair metal lmao. In 8th grade she was super into Slash... which was a big step up from her month of being head over heels for Wes Borland
