While I was perusing the bike I noticed it was still fitted with the old zenior diode so a little more investigating and I found the original rectifier/regulator 
. More money needs to be spent on a solid state unit to replace those old things.....just don't tell the wife. Think she should be happy I know how to work them points systems pretty well or it be close to 500 for a complete change over to electronic ignition.
