What's up with reps? Does this give you some sort of discount on something when you have so many or is it solely for social media status? I thought people would help for the love of ganga not because they are "rep" hungry. I dont mean any disrespect just trying to understand the big deal. Does having a lot of reps and likes help you sleep at night? If and when I am experienced enough to help others I will be happy with an old fashioned thank you.

As far as i can tell. It's like approval, could be a thankyou, or a congrats well done or simply welcome rep works too. but it is always appreciated for whatever the reason imho
