Day 36
Feeling pretty deflated about this grow.
For a a whole host of reasons I've been struggling with these a bit. I've been super busy at work (this is our busiest time of year) and my fibro is kicking up really badly, partly due to stress, partly due to the cold I think.
In addition to that, I just really wasn't prepared for the growth structure. Maybe I'd have handled things differently if I'd fully understood that in the beginning, but maybe not! I dunno, i guess I'm here to learn and I'm certainly doing that.
The plants have grown quite a bit I suppose. I was surprised to see it had only been a week since the last pics I posted as there's more growth than I'd realised.
The earlier issues were definitely N overdose. I've dialled back the feed and whilst they're looking better, the damage has been done and I'm sure that's stunted things a bit. I addition to that, I layed off the training until they recovered but now the 4AM is totally lopsided and I think it's a bit too late to really do anything about it as it's heading into flower already.
Unfortunately (in a way) my first autos grew very vigorously and pretty tall, so i had unrealistic expectations of these and would have trained them differently had I truly understood that.
Anyway, here we go.
Lopsided, dark leaved clawed 4AM
Topped SN
Untopped SN
As you can see, there is also some nute burn on all of them. I guess I've always just grown super hungry plants before but these ladies all want way less food than I'm accustomed to giving. Live and learn I suppose.
The continue the topping debate. The topped SN looks a bit healthier, although it always did and is definitely much easier to handle and tuck, much more even at this stage and i think should produce a pretty even canopy with little to no extra work, though it's considerably shorter than the other one, I'm not sure this will effect final yield.
So yeah, I'm feeling pretty bummed about em. I also feel like I'm wasting tent space so I popped a Fantasmo Express x Sour Stomper yesterday.
I'm sure once flower kicks off I'll feel a bit more chipper about em...
