Indoor Muddy's Mixed Strain Auto Grow

After taking a year and a half off I recently got back into growing some autos again and had a nice little harvest. This is my second grow and it's 5 different strains. WoS NLxBB and Sweet Coffee Ryder, Mephisto Chem City Blues and Sweet Seeds Black Jack and Dark Devil. I had started a 5th plant, a Delicious La Bella Afrodita. It didn't germ right away and I had given up on it. Lo and behold, the day before yesterday I looked at the pot still sitting by itself in my veg area, and it had sprouted. It was exactly 30 days after I had planted it. Longest I've ever had a seed take to germ. So much for starting everything at the same and having all the plants around the same size.

For anyone unfamiliar with how I grow, I don't strive to get huge plants. My space is limited so I like to keep my plants small. I'd rather have less from more stains. So I use [HASHTAG]#1000[/HASHTAG] nursery pots, also called [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG], which hold 2 gallons of soil. Once the roots are established they require water about every 4-5 days, which I like. I prefer feeding at shorter intervals so I can tailor my feed to what the plant needs at that time.

Living in a rural area my choices on soil are limited without making an 80 mile round trip to a full service nursery supply house. I found an organic mix at Lowes called Harvest Organic Potting Soil. It has some bark, which I'm not particularly fond of, but other wise looks like a descent mix. To it I added about 1/3 Black Cow, extra perlite, micronized minerals, humic acid, lime and myco. All the seeds were fems so I started them directly in the pots. Two days after they popped I moved them from my veg area to my outdoor grow box. I've replaced the two Goldstar junk LEDs I had and replaced them with two of the FERO Bulldog 8 spots I had been using in my rdwc. Along with my original GLH LED I've pushing about 800 actual watts over 10 1/2 sq. ft., so about 76 watts per sq. ft. That's probably the most light I've ever had over autos and the plants seem to be enjoying it.

Here are some pics from day 22, about a week ago. You can see that all 5 have sexed. I'll be away all next week so newer pics when I get back.

..Wooow, that Bella was stubborn,.. that's a record to me too Muddy, I'd have cleared the pot 2 weeks ago,... it'll be interesting to see how her vigor is,... Oh well, I know you're a flexible man! You'll find her a way to homeplate
... I too am a variety slut -- Forget yields, I want the whole spectrum of buzz effects at hand, on demand!... I find I'm liking Sativa's more and more lately-... and nowadays, there are many fine Sati-dom' strains available,... I grew a Sweet Coffee a couple years ago; the aromatics, while not coffee at all, were wonderful unique florals and spice/incense, good potency,... The rest of the line-up will not disappoint! Have you tried any of the Sweet Red Family before Muddy? Wonderful stuff, and colors can be super deep, like the really dark PJEM's were!

Damn, I though I could sneak in, post that thread and get out. Busted! I'm taking a road trip starting Monday so am getting things ready to go. Didn't want that to wait till I get back.

When that seed didn't germ in a week or so I just shut the light off and left it sitting in the semi dark. I was going to carry to pot back out to the garage when I saw it had sprouted. An old member who can't grow anymore sent me her seeds. That was one of them. I've tried 5 and that's the first one to germ and it took a month. Has me wondering if they didn't get xrayed along the way. I've got the room, so I'll give her a shot.

That was one reason I quit growing for awhile. I had almost 40 strains in my stash and a lot of it was getting old. lol, it took me almost 2 years to smoke it down to a manageable level! I've either got to grow less or smoke more. I like those WoS autos, Pakistani, Mango and Coffee. I just picked a Pakistani and a Mango last month. To me the Mango doesn't smell like Mango but it certainly has a pungent aroma, even more than the Coffee. I did a Bloody Skunk and a Black Cream before, as well as Cream Mandarin and Green Poison. But they were the last grows I did before I stopped and I was bored with autos and didn't pay much attention to them and they suffered. I've got more seeds, so I'll grow them again.

I like my sativas in the afternoon and indicas at night. Purple Amnesia has become a favorite along with Mohan Ram. Need to get more seeds of both.

Hmmm, I'm curious about that myself-- x-ray's and seeds,... have you read anything solidly scientific about it? I imagine a great many parameters are involved, but from what I've seen anecdotally something like a mail or airport scan isn't intense enough to fragg' the innards,...?
Ah, WoS has some good'uns for real! Ol' Botwin liked the Paki' a lot, more than AKR even... NL x BB was hot for a while here, then the fever cooled off as new stuff rolled in,... but I saw mostly rave reviews of it- ..I had a Sugar Mango that wasn't mango either, buds were very frosty and dense though, strong buzz,... Oh!- and another Sativa-dom' of theirs that's excellent is Wild Thai Ryder! very potent, nice gummy solid buds, folks got mainly typical Asian Sati' aromatics (exotic fruits/floral, citrus, incense),.. but mine also had a mild, but distinct barf-like jar aroma- it kinda offends but fascinates at the same time, much like real deal Catpiss! Smoke was delish' though, unique,.. did I mention potent already? Worthy! .. I'm dying to try the photo version, but the season isn't long enough for me before crap mold favorable weather usually sets in, dang it! .... yes, those Sweets deserve another run! GP is still one of my ever-fav's; have you tried any of the F1FV versions? Really fun to run, I loved them all! Every GPFV I've run finished blooming outdoors in under 5 weeks, amazing speed! Mmmmm, Mo'Ram, I'm seriously looking at her this OD season, and your comments are one reason why... the PA, is that Short Stuff's version by any chance? I might be getting some - tell me about her if it is, please,...

I'm back. Had a good trip but picked up a bad chest cold, so have been laying low and harvesting my rdwc.

The WoS Pakistan Valley is one of my most favorite strains and what the Paki Ryder was bred from. Great indica strain and a very good producer. I've grown it twice outdoors and have it on my list for an rdwc run. I too prefer the Paki Ryder over their AKR. For whatever reason the Paki Ryder never seemed to catch on while the AKR was a big favorite for many. Go figure.

Yes, the PA was the Shortstuff version. It's well worth a run. A good producer and very potent. I tend to like anything Amnesia and it didn't disappoint me. I didn't get any purple on mine although it was showing a bit of a blue hue before harvest. It's a couple years since I grew it but seem to remember I got about 1 1/2 oz. in a 2 gallon pot. Nice tight buds too.

I did a mixed run of the Sweet Seeds F1 fast versions, 5 Sweet Specials, 2 Killer Kush and 1 Creme Mandarin. I was just reviewing my logs and that grow has been my best so far in rdwc at 47 oz. All were good but the Creme Mandarin was the best. Looking to do a full run of it soon. It was a huge hit.

No, I've never read anything definitive on xrays but it was the only thing I could come up with.

.... Ah, you've run the photo parent Paki' too,... Hmm, yet another to add to the grow-list! I want to try some real-deal landrace strains, but I have to be careful about which, particularly with dry climate Indica's,... Mold promoting weather can happen here by harvest time, so with these plants' general tendency to be weak against mold it's a calculated risk! How was Paki's aroma and potency?
should have figured you've run F1FV's already! I had a KKFV 2 seasons ago, and was NOT impressed sadly,... Oh BTW, Sweet Special is no longer being made! I asked Tommy about this, and he said she's shelved officially,.. Too bad because this is one that never got the respect she deserved! So, if you want more of her, scan the seed banks fast before she becomes extinct,... Crm. Mandarine is one of their very best, huh! She's on the list at the top too... damn, I wish I had more space! I'm still grinding over my choices this season-

The Paki Valley was excellent. That was part of my last outdoor photo grow back in 2012. I really don't remember the smell but it was very potent. Hard hitting indica stone and high cbd if I remember. I know I made some RSO from it that we used to cure some basil cell cancer my wife had. If I recall I got about 14 oz. off of it in a 15 gallon bucket.

I wasn't overly impressed with Sweet Special, especially compared to the KK and the CM. It's not one I'd likely grow again. That CM absolutely filled my 8 gallon bucket with roots. It was one big square when I took it out. Because it was a mixed strain grow and 5 were SS and only 1 CM, I ran the nutes for the SS. Even still I got 7 oz. off the CM. It was a monster. Plus it was a big hit, so I'll run it again.

Yep, so many strains and not enough time and space.
