New Grower My First Grow. Finally. Feedback appreciated!

Throw a little hygrometer in the jars and you will know how to correct the rh inside. i jarred mine to early as it was not breaking up or grinding like i wanted lol, i ended up having to un jar them and lay them out on carboard for a few hours and rejar until i got to 60-64%. what i thought was done was actually 70-80% rh inside the jar on a few.

I’ve got little hygrometers and also Boveda packs if I need them. I’ll decide later if it’s time to jar. I have a feeling these buds are way more airy than yours and have just dried a lot faster.

I did the joint test tonight. I snipped the first bud from my drying purple punch, trimmed it, weighed it (.55 grams), ground it, rolled it, and just smoked it down to a roach.

First time over ever smoked weed I’ve grown.:smoking:

It was a bit of a pinner, but it burned all the way down and got me good and high. I was expecting it to be harsher, since it was right off the plant. I quite loved it, maybe most because it was my first.

Even thought it’s not pretty and it’s light and airy, it smells pretty decent and got me very pleasantly highly.

I think tomorrow is probably the day to jar it.

LOL, I am currently in the midst of my first trim. This plant is probably too dry, I suspect I’ll be adding a Boveda pack to the jars straight away. The buds are so airy that they’re difficult to trim because it’s hard to tell the difference between leaf and bud! So many buds that I’ll end up with a reasonable amount of weed from this sad sack. Most would make butter or something out of this, but the joint test I did last night resulted in an excellent buzz, surprisingly, so I’m gonna jar it and cure it a bit and just make the best of it. Plus, despite its rough appearance, it smells awesome already.

Will post some pics later of the northern lights plants, one of which I’ll almost definitely chop tonight.

The best way to learn is by doing. Isn't it fun though? I felt totally lost on the dry, trim, cure until I had to do it. I read as many articles as I could but nothing compares to having it in hand and seeing how it works.

Thanks! Hell yeah, it’s awesome. I’m super curious to see how it feels to trim dense bud, which I’ll experience on my other two plants. They’re way stickier too.

Not even close to 30 grams per jar! These buds are just pure air. I have two jars now and about an ounce between them. Still in trim jail but I’d say I’ll end up with two ounces of “bud” and another half ounce of trim/larf or so. This girl could have really produced if I hadn’t starved her, I think. Not a bad yield considering how fucked up she was.

Having something to smoke is a win to me and having something to smoke on while i try and grow better bud is a double win.

How close is northern lights? ive heard they take 100days on avg sometimes more.
