Hi guys,
Newbie to indoor growing here, bought my grandparents house on the canadian border , turning there old canning room into a grow, it’s insulted and roughly 4ft foot wide 5xft long and 6.5 tall.

I purchased Auto flower seeds from growers choice,3 gorilla glue and 3 ak , tracking says they willl be delivered tomorrow. So I’ve been researching and watching videos for along time and finally bit the bullet. .

I’m looking at buying a cob x6 on amazon for 116.99 to get me started , with either 5 or 3 gallon amazon grow bags ? Still debating and gathering supplies this week. , any and all info will be greatly appreciatated

Welcome to AFN and to the wonderful world of auto flowers! That space you described sounds like a nice sized room for autos! It also sounds like you've got a few more decisions to make before you plant your 1st seed! You should definitely be able to fit 4-5 plants in that space using 3 gal bags. I wouldn't recommend it if this is your first grow though. You're going to have your head spinning for the next 6 months just adjusting to the learning curve.. Caring for four plants at while trying to get you legs under you can be very challenging. I'd personally start with one or two and allow lots of room for mistakes and unfortunate events, because they will happen! The good thing about AFN is that we are all here to help out when those kinds of ituations arise! Have fun.. Ask LOTS of questions, and fall in love with the process, not just the outcome, and you'll be fine!

Think the 3 gallon seems to be the most chosen unless your doing some of the larger strains. I run the 15L/3.9 gal autopot system as my main. But I've also done 16/18oz solo cups, 2L bottle and just getting some 2 gallon fabric bags to give a shot. Just to give you feeling what can be done in a Solo cup just have to keep up with watering.

yes defiantly some more decisions to make....the walls are white Styrofoam id like to get some reflective material. as far as dirt, i was thinking foxfarm possibly if i can find at local place. then ventilation, i was looking at ebay kits already together

I’ve attached a picture of what I have to work with, this was Friday when I was still removing the canning room shelving.

Don’t judge, it’s an old house. lol

What should I do to Optomiz grow on a budget?
