Hey everyone,
I 'm giving it a go to continously document my grow adventure using Dutch Passion genetics.

This time it's all about the SMC, since the SMC BX1 is still in the mail somewhere (it's holiday season so that was expected). SMC & SMC BX1, both are by @Antonio_DutchPassion and I'm really excited for this one.
The only goal I set for this first run is a detailed and documented study of the plant/genetics within my envirionment for a given time.

Let's start the SMC GROW DIARY - run 1 (fem run) in 2026. Feel free to take a seat and join the party.

DECEMBER 24th 2025 Day -1(soak day)

Prepared 3 pots of coco - for the SMC. 3 seeds of the Dutch Passion Slush Mint Cake (SMC) will hopefully show a root in the little germination container by tommorow evening or the morning after. They then get transplanted into the 3 pots.

DECEMBER 25th - Day 0
3 SMC are now transplanted into their starter cups.
By the way, it triggers me I didn't managed to center that sticker. No second try as I only had one.

DECEMBER 27th - Day 1
SMC seedlings just broke through during night, so let's call it day1. They had their first few drops of water. 24h/0 light for now.

Pics below show the 3 girls on their first day of life above the soil. They got a little help to leave the shell.

DECEMBER 28TH, Day2
Not much happend today with the little girls. A little gain in height, and the green is saturated and healthy looking. Might add little mild wind and probably will switch the light temperature slightly towards a more blue/white tint for the first 1-2weeks. But so far it's all fine and as one would expect of a 2nd Day as seedlings.

Welcome to the party , bro. Feel free to add some pics and insights of your progress once you grow your SMCs.

Good luck on this journey mate! Will be tagging along obviously, please feel free to tag me from time to time.

And if you have any questions, please just hit me up in a DM.

Cheers man :d5:
Oh look who's here - the master himself ! Warm welcome and thanks for offering help and virtual assistance. That's cool and I will definetly come back to the offer ;)

Also warm welcome to @marshallbdg !

Little update:
Yesterday evening the girls got some tiny true leaves and got a few drops of water, Ph5.8, 0.4 ec. Using T.A. Novamax grow for the first time, the tripart line was fine for decades but mixing from 3 bottles sometimes can annoy. I will gradually up the EC on feeds during the next days.
That's it for yesterday. But...

My DP adventure goes on ..

today with an unboxing because the order stuck in the xmas mail chaos was delivered. Usually it only takes 2-3 days, so I started to get nervous. But then...the awaited SMC BX1 today has been in the mailbox.

Nice little seed packaging on this SMC BX1 limited drop. The envelope came with 3 (!) Blue Zushi and one Sour Tangie F1 (didn't expected that one, so that was a welcome surprize to see another limited drop by @Antonio_DutchPassion in the package) as freebies, a nice seasonal postcard and 2 stickers. All well packed in a save envelope.
Special thanks and shoutout to DP's William for the fantastic emailing sessions/costumer support during the order process. Seriously, that is how to keep happy costumers for years.

With the package's content there's enough for now to have fun with for the next few future runs.

Here are some pics of the looted envelope.

That's it for today! until next time, folks...

The 3 smc ladies doing fine, one is a little worse then the other 2 but I 'll see how she's doing next few days. It's a bit slower than I expected. But roots grow crazy.

Meanwhile during this weekend I've been in trimjail after this one last remaining colorful blue zushi came down. She turned a bit crispy on the fanleaves last 2-3 days but damn , these nuggets are hard as rock.
This last zushi in the pic brings my 1 year zushi test project to an end. All what's left to do after harvesting her is to wait for the cure and finish the all 367 days report once I have the final numbers. It's hard to let her go, and finish a year long project, but I know, what's already waiting there as replacement. So I 'm off to clean the tent now and eventually move the 3 SMC over in their new home. Lots of work...3,2,1,...and go...

Good luck with the new round mate, cannot wait to see those flowers appear, going to be frosty city

Thx Antonio! The zushi will definetly get a slow dry and longer cure time. Here's a free trip to frost city. I suck at doing macro shots handheld, but the good will was there ;)
