Also I think I'm going to get some of this silver and try it on a few lower branches on my next grow. 2x Big Buddha cheese and 2x Buddha purple kush. Or one of cheese and Pk and 2x Think different. It's hard to choose, god dammit! Maybe mix a few strains up and see what I get? Hmm..

Yeah I can do that. One thing though, can you fill me in on what that would change? I don't know much about the generations (f1, f2) and how different they are compared to each other. It kinda confuses me. Is the first generation going to be bad or unstable?

Hey there vicklagina i saw where you was wanting to know about f1 and f2 and so on you can go to autoflower breeding thread and go to page 5 someone ask question about this and cres explains i think Cres is the one that answers but anyway you will find all you need to know there. I think im telling this right but the difference is a f1 is not that stable for what you are trying to create and the more generations you cross these ( using the seeds off of each harvest ) strains the more stable they become so a f2 is better but it goes way past this. Just read the thread i mentioned and they do a way better job at explaining it they i can. Hope this helps bro.:thumbs:

Wow... thanks for sharing that strain. That looks like some high yielding fire for an auto! I think I may have to put that into consideration for a future cross.. A heavy yielding purple like that would be mind blowing :drool:! That would also make an interesting cross seeing as the pk is an indica dom and this TD is a sativa dom. I wonder what the outcome would be. A day smoke purp would be a sweet addition to the meds. These indicas are killin me

I was considering doing a cross with a big buddha strain for dank weed and a high output toke: pun heheee) I say experiment and mix around to see what you like best if you have the space to do it. Best place to get the silver cheap is off amazon. I still have PLENTY left after the short treatment I did. If I were you, I would get at least 2 seeds of each strain and figure out which one(s) you want to hermie. Great info dude, really needed that. So then, how would I go about creating an f2? I have some inbred northern lights seeds and the new crossbreed pk x nl seeds. Do I grow them both, re-hermie the nl and then pollinate the new crossbreed? So much info to soak in right now, it's mind fucking me lol and now I'm paranoid about my crossbreed seeds not being stable! I'll be satisfied if they grow enough dank buds lol

2 of the purple lights sprouted today one had taproot show and on thanksgiving! Thank you mary Happy thanksgiving to afn as well! Turkey wasted x.x Will be starting a new thread on these asap.

When you first cross two different plants if they're diverse enough they're fully heterozygous. Then you take a plant and you try to self it, every generation that you self a plant, it becomes 50% more homozygous. Then you go to 75%, 87.5%, 93.75% etc. More uniform. By the 7th generation you are over 99% homozygous

Some opened up by themselves and jizzed all over the leaves and most stayed closed and required opening by tweezers.

Hopefully it proves a lovely strain. High yielding northern lights with purple for bag appreal and add of taste.

Sorry to ask on your post but could you do this cross again n breed the two plants to give a second generation? Bit unsure on auto breeding as you cant keep a mother

You can certainly give it a second generation. Once you've crossed the two plants and you have some seeds, grow that seed and cross it back again. The next batch of seeds will be F2. The F1 and F2 generations will be very unstable and will show too much variety to be deterimend a legitimate strain. You have to get the cross to F3 before it finally becomes a stable and reliable strain.

For you guys wondering about crossing, I'll try to give you the very basic version without requiring you to take a course in botany:

When you cross a strain, the first generation of seeds you get is F1. F1 seeds are very unstable, and can show a wide variety of characteristics. The key to stabilizing it is by looking for plants with characteristics you desire, and crossing it a second time (F2), and third time (F3). It is the third generation that becomes stables and will consistently provide the characteristics you are aiming at.

Simplified example:

Let's say you want to cross an indica with a sativa to get half/half ratio. The offspring of this crop will be quite unstable. One of the seeds might be dominant indica, while another seed might be dominant sativa. Yet another seed might be a PERFECT 50/50 match that you were going for. Take that female that is the 50/50 match youre looking for, and cross it back using the healthiest male. This new batch of seeds will be F2...more stable than F1, but not stable enough to be consistent. Repeat the process once more to get a 3rd generation, F3. At this point, your seeds will be mostly stable. Some breeders go to f4 or even f5, but generally breeders prefer the F3 generation.
