Maybe a stupid question!! But I still need it answered please. Can you just put autos in the ground anywhere and it will grown. No change of soil. Literally anywhere I think yeah. Just plant them and leave them. Will they grow or do I have to dig holes and use a certain soil

I’d say no, not any soil/ground will do. Plants (and especially seedlings) can be very sensitive to PH levels, nutrients in the soil etc. If you don’t know the ground you are planning on planting in your best bet is to prepare your outdoor grow site before planting. Dig a hole about a foot deep and square, fill with a suitable grow medium (a pre-purchased soil like biobizz or fox farms or one of the many others people recommend, or build your own soil from some of the great recipes out there). That way you know your plant is growing in known conditions.

Location really determines that answer. Weed is a weed much like any other weed and will grow anywhere just like a weed.
Guess some of us are fortunate to live in a farming community (southern USA) where cbd is legal as long as you pay the license fees....where seeds of every kind are planted direct in ground including cannabis. Before legalization, we planted cannabis seeds in corn fields ….just plant and come back when done.
So will cannabis grow on its own? YES we're doing it every year. Some growers who do a little prepping always have the better crops....cotton, beans or corn.....or weeds that we smoke.
