Hey thanks, It's my hope that it creates an even base for more interesting and informed discussion on the forum. However, it doesn't account for things like quality, warranty and customer service.

I should mention, I have no vested interest in any of these lighting co's. Sadly nobody gives me free lights to test ! :crying:
 
Adding the Mars SP3000 to the list. I pulled the data off the par map on the mars website and it seemed comparable to Dr. MJ CoCo's par map he did on youtube. So I trust it. Both par maps worked out to about 2.1 ppfd/watt.

I would suspect you're right and it would be much the same as the QB288. I've sort of seen a pattern looking at all the different QB style boards (i think they all should be just called samsung boards at this point) they all come in around that 2.0 PPFD. I would guess the difference to be the binning of the LM301 diodes they use. The lower bins like the Spiderfarmer are 1.9ish, the mars probably using the mid at 2.1 and the HLG's using the more expensive ones 2.2ish. It seems the next jump in efficiency is when they move to the array style set up with the diodes.

I've noticed the viparspectra has jumped on the samsung band wagon with their new XS series. I think they are probably the top budget led's right now beating out their main competition in that space(Mars TS/SP series) with the XS and Pro Series.
