Yes. The data on other plants is great stuff. Without question HLST (That is my LST technique hard low stress training) I train them almost daily o ce I start. End up often with 3' wide plants. Not possible now as I am growing too many plants. I typically end up with a plant with very few fan leaves. Picking g leaves is an addiction I need to curb somewhat. I am going to try and leave more fan leaves.

I don't see that as being feasible. I do understand where one would come to that conclusion, at least in my knoggin.
What do we usually defol? Fan leaves!

I've seen some of the "big names" say fan leaves are only needed for outdoor grows as their purpose is to catch the sun as it moves across the sky. Sounds reasonable but I don't know
