Grow Mediums Root nutrient needed or not?

Hey @low_and_slow - so does that mean if I powdered my root ball/transplant hole with Mykos and Azos, I'm basically gonna kill everything off as soon as I feed them fox farm bottled nutes (Grow Big/Tiger Bloom)?

High levels of salts have been found to kill microbial activity but at moderate levels it improves growth overall. Chelated nutrients are in smaller forms that are more readily absorbed but you're microbes aren't going to die from using salts - chelated or not

Regarding chelated nutrients and salts, at the levels in plant nutrients the microbes readily consume much the same basic nutrients as plants. And most microbes, including common beneficial ones, are more tolerant of environmental conditions than plants (most anything toxic will affect plants first). Microbes need nutrients too. So if anything, most any good base plant nutes (and that includes the AN products) will also help feed the microbes.
