New Grower Should I LST Low stress training auto flower with my 250 watt CFL

Hi all first grow here with

Ak47 auto from Speed seeds .
Light : 250 watt 2700 k single bulb under wing
Closet Grow with light close to 1 plant about 2inches

IM using the 250 watt CFL for 1 plant and keeping it very close to plant . So should you LST the plant to
Keep the canopy wide and even rather than just leaving it to grow like a Christmas tree. If I don't LST the plant how will I keep the light close to lower buds. Please help thanks
