The water timer I'm using is an Orbit faucet unit. I just put the batteries in it and
it's a freaking digital timer.
I need a ruling here, is it okay to have the Missus help me? If not I can go to plan B, and water by hand (might have to do that anyway, if this doesn't work).

Sorry @Starbreaker but I'm not gonna have the time to water a solo cup from seed to harvest plus my tent is now getting stuffed full of babies so your gonna have to.count me out of this one
