its 8.5 inches with the small mounting bracket up,to the face of the rim that holds the glass. thanks man. they are doing exceedingly well.colors are perking up n all.so Im hopeful to see a slamming harvest! its funny,I thought about doing a YT channel once I have my few things for vids.thats gonna be uber easy for updates LOL wonder if ppl would watch LOL

UPDATE: well been a bit behind playing catch up with things,but other than it cooling off some here,its mostly been the same. stellar performance from the lights and the plants. looking forward to full on flowering,and its a coming too 
Temp 77F RH 71% distance 14/5 to 15 inches off the toofless alien and almost 16 off the top of the sour hound. no splotching ,fading,bleaching nothing. just a lovely green

Update: temps 77F Rh is at 68% and distance is 15 inches above the two now. BIG toofless girl too. like when traveling through the country and pull into a diner and the waitress smiles at you,you give her a HUGE compliment too!! NICE TOOTH

man this SH is nasty sticky and oily,but it does that and with the Kind Soil I have to say a bit here. I have grown with this with prolly ten plants now or better and a few various sizes. the smaller ones to medium sized ones do WELL! beautifully in fact BUT, the taller ,larger,or heavy feeders like the toofless Alien since imo the soil consists of a higher N content or veg spectrum over the flowering foods and ability to hold the food with the activity in the soil.assuming its active at this point.veg is stellar but the fullness of color lacks closer to flower each and everytime.
SO, what I am going to have to do is ruin a pot and cut it open and transplant it since I just cant yank a three foot tall Alien eh?!LOL so, ill be approaching this tomorrow afternoon when I can wet it in with a tea at 24 hour brew. the tea used will be this recipe here for simplification.
4 gallons good water
2 cups of a pre made flower recipe from TLO soils.2 packs(i believe its cups)
1.5C Triple Castings from TeaLabs
3C Life Cube from TeaLabs
1 TBspn Recharge
2.5 - 3 tsp [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] Inoculate from tealabs (Soil Life)
3oz 5-1-1 Fishies
3 - 3.5 TBspns Molasses
brewed for 24-36 hours and will water in and feed the repotted plant. Thanks

well i had to transplant kinda the toofless alien since the foods were incredibly sparse for an auto decent eater like ole toofless.. at 31 inches tall from the top of the pot.original pot that is LOL and will prolly be maybe 33 inches when done at most. should be nice but was lacking for a spell so wont be as nice but the discoloration has ZERO to do with the light. the SH is spectacular.small it she tends to be,but just full of oodles n oodles O ERL n stuff so thats one thing i did today.

Stunning! SK clearly are great lights, just makes you think about all this red/blue spectrum we see so much of.
