How far away do you keep the light? We gave several running remo nutes right now.
@budelee @Ripper @Starbreaker who is using the remo ?

Dudeski,

Running it 18 inches away. I have "C and D" in the same DWC rez. Both are still in seedling stage with true leaves out of both.

Thanks for the info about others running Remo. I will follow to see their results and compare to mine

That depends on the LED wattage/ efficiency .. typically its about 30 inches but thats not a hard rule..

I like 30 in veg, closer in bloom

We all learn with new gear. Im working on finding the sweet spot with mine right now

Sweet spot can be found with math. *groan* MATH!? I DON'T NEED MATH! Mr. TEACHER, NAME ONE SITUATION IN REAL LIFE WHERE MATH IS GONNA BE FUCKIN USEFUL! (me in school!)

:point:NERD ALERT:point:

PPFD Calculation:

Input power [W] x efficiency [dimensionless quantity] = radiant power [W]
luminous flux [lm] / LER (luminous efficiency of radiation) [lm/W] = radiant power [W]
radiant power [w] x QER (quantum efficiency of radiation) [µmol/J] = photon flux [µmol/s]
photon flux [µmol/s] / area [m^2] = photon flux density [µmol/s/m^2]

Even I can't use this equation! I'm just posting it for you in case you need it. I am lucky to have lights with PPFD charts to reference.

PPFD FOR DUMMIES:

You still have to do the PPFD calculations unless you have a PPFD chart from your light manufacturer.
The important thing in my opinion in regards to "how high do I hang this thing?" up to 1000 PPFD@Canopy before light bleaching becomes possible. Over 1000 PPFD@canopy requires supplemental CO2.

The plant will tell you when the light is right. Will be praying when happy, droopy when its too intense. I went thru 2 grows before I started to get a handle on it. Mine stretched better further away, then moved it in closer during bud building.

Hey Dudeski, you're a bit misinformed my friend. The droopiness and 'praying' you refer to have to do with proper RH and soil moisture. With light, when it's too close the leaves will actually start to bleach out in spots. When there's not enough light the plant will stretch out and internodal distance will increase.
