If any of you auto growers are experiencing early (premature) flowering it might be caused by too many red diodes in your lighting. I’ve always had a good amount of veg time with my autos until about 6 months ago and couldn’t figure out why, I first thought it might have something to do with my fertigation schedule or high EC but ruled those out after I did a couple tests. I grew 2 different auto crops from different breeders and both batches started showing pistils around day 20 as opposed to day 30-40, and the only difference was a new low budget $79 240watt light I was running during the early stages. I came to the conclusion that it had to be the large amount of red diodes in the new light so I ran another test with my old Maxisuns that were my main lights I used from sprout to scrog and was happy to see that my normal veg time came back.
