So ive never done an auto and now one has grown a leaf into the dirt while i was LSTing. Do i trim them? i keep hearing on podcasts say get the leaves out the dirt like its terrible but i couldnt really bend them and position them out of the dirt. So can i trim those fan leaves off?

You can for sure trim a couple fan leaves off. Or you can bend and tuck them.over a branch. As long as you dont go crazy it's no big deal. If you let the leaves hang in the dirt than they will soak In your feed and damage the leaves. Then the plant will have do decide its energy on not only growing the plant but also repairing the damaged leaves
