@Ozone69 I'm along for the ride. We are both doing the same thing at pretty much the same time. I am preping my pot to let it cook a little before I try my last five pounds of Kind Soil. I am putting the whole five lbs in the bottom of a 3 gallon pot, topping with Roots Organic Original and dropping in a Mephisto Sour Crack. I too, do love the Blumats, have you had any clogging issues?

I haven't had any clogging issues with them, but I've only been running filtered water through them. The supplemental feeding I do by hand with jug and hose setup, and just water the soil normally and figure the Blumat will auto compensate for the extra moisture I've put in and slow it's flow down.

That'll be an interesting experiment with the Kindsoil. I'll have to keep an eye out for it to see how it goes for ya'.

I don't know if tlosoils.com ships to UK. I haven't needed to contact them, but word in the grapevine is that the guy that runs the site is a pretty helpful fellow so I'd probably shoot 'em an email and see.

For what it's worth, though, the mix that TLOSoils.com makes is really just a shortcut for making the soil. Even if they don't ship to the UK, one could still research making their own TLO soil mix using the various worm casting, guanos, minerals, and other nutrients bits and pieces that go into that kind of soil. I know there are several recipes for cooking up soils from scratch over in the AFN organics sections. I went this way for now as a beginners shortcut with TLO soils, but will likely look into cooking my own down the road. In particular I want to learn so that I can start reusing by re-amending and re-cooking the soil after growing in it. Running out of places in the yard to dump the stuff out. :smoking:

Day 9 and I hit them with their first dose of the compost tea this morning. Brewed a batch of the "New Roots Tea" from tlosoils at half strength. Basically bubbled the same gallon of water they recommend and molasses, but only used half a packet of the mix. Their mixes are setup for photo plants, so from what I've been told should not be used a full strength with autos. Trying to stretch them out as well, and using half a packet at a time will certainly help with that.

Was a little concerned that with running the lights higher because of the other plant in the closet I might get some stretching. So far not looking like it at all to me. In fact, the Critical + is the opposite and surprisingly short to the point I'm almost (but not quite) a little concerned. Not quite enough to be full on concerned, though, so just keeping an eye on it.

Off on a small tangent, but have to give some quick props to the tlosoils mix. So far it seems to be doing an awesome job of things.

I have a little photoperiod plant going in the closet that I decided to re-veg and try and cultivate as a mother plant when it turned out to be a female. Grown a number of seeds from the "Ghost Of LeeRoy" pack, and they were all males until this one, so decided to try and stretch it out and get as much out of it as I can.

Anyhow....I was looking not very happy and healthy in the 3 gallon Airpot. I was hand feeding, and trying to keep it on the mild side, and just wasn't getting it enough of what it needed. I think the size of the pot was a bit small as well, but hard to say. Anyhow, I had some of the TLOSoil mix that I'm using for the two Autoflower plants leftover, so I took one of the 5 gallon wide smartpots I had lying around and went ahead and transplanted. I made a HUGE mistake and didn't bring the soil inside for a while to warm up, so probably shocked the shit out of the roots even more than the transplant would normally by putting them in soil that was probably in the mid 40's, but was too late to turn back by the time I realized. But even with that, it's been just under a week since I did the move last Sunday, and the plant is already starting to get a nicer color to it, splotchy leaves clearing up, and looking like it's doing much better on the soil.

The Autoflowers are doing great as well. Will post another update on them in a few days, but they are really starting to take off nice.

Thank you so much for the info on the soil mate. I'm going to give it a good read and research more about this type of soil. I have used a company called gk organics who make guano and have a all mix. Which is guano, volcanic loam, castings, see weed extract, cotton seed powder and a couple more ingredients. It makes a great soil mix to just feed water the whole cycle and if they do run dry of nutes in the medium I top up with their liquid line.

I will definitely be checking out the link you provided as your plants look great and are loving this soil mix

Now the plants have adjusted to the new medium the colour is coming back and they are starting to really look great
