@JM . For a few years way back i worked in the semiconductor industry. I assembled and tested Ion implanters.
these huge stainless steel chambers were used to impart negatively charged Ions in to the substrate that made up the material of the Chipsets.
and what this doe's is allow minute voltages to travel through the chip without any loss. I wonder what would happen if a long wire was encased in the subtrate??
