@Green Hornet . yes! the last two meteor showers. were excellent. quite a few world wide hit.
One in California hit a house and killed a dog. poor pup. I set up telescope a few times in the last week and was lucky enough to see two meteors pas through field of telescope while looking at the Moon.

So Yes i am growing . here are the debutants. three Fastbuds Bruce Banner and three chem bomb. all doing well.
So four days ago, after listening to HF general coverage receiver, and hearing Amateur radio stations all over the world and it being a hobby since 1963. I bought a radio and antenna. The radio is a mobile and an antenna for the car . on the air right away. have to wait on a base station setup, ran out of money. But from the car using only 30 Watts of power i made contact with Stations as far as Austria to the east. Manitoba to the north. California to the west. and South Africa to the south. and all points in between. I heard a guy calling from Cornwall U.K. i got back to him, i asked him about a friend from ST Ives that i talked to for 30years. John Sharkey. and he was his Neighbor..
Jhon was in the military back then and i talked with him Many times from his Tank. any hams out here? i was licensed 40 years ago W1gzy.
but was a pirate before, during, and after the license. @JM . it bit me on the ass!

Now I have a reason and motivation to fix my HF antenna.. would LOVE to chat with you via radio! What rig did you get? What bands can you work? Glad you got the radio bug back! You should join my club.. We are doing some awesome stuff these days!

I have a few ladies rolling myself now... Will have to get a few pics... the Grow room is much bigger than the old days... still mostly all kinds of plants and some cannabis.. but what a killer grow year I had! Made some new crosses, got enough smoke to get me through and now setup indoors again... to some degree at least!

@JM. glad to hear your back in the fold. NO money so i bought a Chinese radio, a Anytone at 6666 a ten meter rig
cheap. but adequate. and a mobile antenna to get on the air. they made it super easy to open it up. menu driven . press two buttons as you turn on radio and it opens from just 10 meters to 25. 555 to 30.000 Mhz. Lots of ladies Huh! you stud muffin.

Very broke so it will be a while before a base antenna. even with the wilson 5000 i have worked from Austria to South Africa from west coast to south America. the DX god is on my shoulder. BTW this is your fault JM. jus kidden.
