Seriously what happened...?...I saw a site work notice on this morning... small break in service....but @420Forever thought it might be Xenforo trying a fix...if something has moved out..it might be @Son of Hobbes working...

...your transition would be easiest..... because you only really post in your own thread...once you have the link for that.. nothing much to learn...

That's Discord that is going to require biometrics. Because 10 years old use it and it's full of predators that groom minors for sex and trafficking.
We are moving to Discourse. The worlds leading forum software. Zero 10 year olds. Zero biometrics.
These are not the same thing
At the end of the day, Discourse is still a forum, and this is a forum. No matter how cool, trendy, flair-filled, etc we try to make either, neither exists without the members or the community.
Everyone says "it's too much like Reddit," that's because Redditt uses Discourse, not the other way around.
And last I checked, Reddit is not AFN. Nor are Reddit members AFN members.
We could create a new thread on the Discourse site for this; and as long as members post in it (and they will,) then nothing really changes.
I have offered to do screen-share tutorials with the community, offered to hop on the phone with members, I have already addressed numerous complaints and "how do I do this" support issues. @Master_gRoshi is over on the new site and he's been very quick to offer help those that need it, or he escalates it to me.
We'd be more than happy to help anyone here transition to the new forum. There's a lot of learning going on here, including for us.
