When is the best time to pollenate female plants?

Hi, guys.​

I was planning on crossing a Purple Mazar with a Easy Ryder now with my new grow. But i didn´t get any males. Normally this would be a good thing, but now i have to germ new seeds and hope for that i get a maleplant. If i get any females i have to throw them away.

When should i start to germ new seeds? In what stage is it best to pollenate?

The thing is that i had planned to stop growing after these were done, and i got some seeds out of this last grow. (For a while). I am planning on a outdoor grow this summer. And it would be great with some seeds then. But in the house i have to stop.

The reason is that i have a bay on the way, and i don´t want to get busted by the authorities if they happen to show up on my doorstep some day.

There are several threads on Pollen collecting and Pollenating on the forum. Do a search and read up on the various methods.

I will sometimes pollenate a single branch of all the females in a grow if I am interested in growing them again. Here is how I do it. Of course your timing may vary due to conditions and strain. At about 2 1/2 weeks after sprouting, the males will start to show. The best one gets moved to a little box in a spare room to live out his life on meager rations.
At about 3 weeks the females will show and they get transplanted from the 32 oz cups into 2 gallon pots.
At about 4 weeks the male starts dropping pollen. I pollenate the female at about 5 weeks. By then she has developed lots of buds, but still has enough life left to produce mature seeds. A couple of days before Pollenating, I give the male a good shaking over some newspaper so that I have fresh pollen later on. The day of Pollenating, I give the male another good shaking, this time over wax paper. With a spoon, I remove all the flower parts and anything else that isn't pollen. Then I fold the wax paper in half, then in half again so that the pollen collects in the middle. Then I turn off anything with a fan or blower and close the windows so that the air is still.
Then using a little artists paint brush, I dip it in the pollen and paint a little dust on the buds that I want to seed. A little goes a long way. If you use a black bristled brush, you can see the pollen better. I do the Pollenating on the dining room table where the light is good, then leave her there for a few hours to let the dust settle. You will have some nice seeds after 4 to 5 weeks. Give each one a nice hard pinch, the immature ones will pop and crush easily.
I get anywhere from 30 to 80 seeds per branch.

Forgot to add, the leftover pollen gets folded back up in the wax paper and put in a zip lock bag. Then I slip in a note with the strain and date and put it in the freezer.
