When to expect female pollen from delayed harvest??

I know I dont know alot, but for some reason I thought ALL female plants will eventually produce pollen sacs. Anybody else can chime in on this? This is true or not?
CS and sts...well I do know they stress the treated area some, which is why I thought natural occuring would be less likely to hermie...IDK, if it is a "stress thing" or just natural growth cycle that isn't stressful. How do you know, like a link or somethng? thx

Some females will not turn male. It is true!

These are pure female plants.. Very rare. Sam the skunk man talks about this in some of his posts. When him and neville were working some haze lines. He said some plants would not turn male no matter what. Stress, chemicals... nothing.

SOME plants will age stress to produce pollen; but not all. Sativa strains are more prone than indica strains. A good breeder breeds this trait out.

You probably wont reap any pollen with the rodelization method when it comes to autos they just don't live long enough.However anything is possible.As stated above most grower use C.S. for female pollen.

My understanding of most good breeders is they find a female they like, stress the fuck out of it and if it refuses to hermi THEN they will use chemicals to produce the male flowers. The feminised seeds that can be made using this pollen will be very resistant to hermiing.

If the plant hermis through general growing stress and light leaks etc then they should NOT be used for breeding.

However in my first grow a very rare wild pheno was found in some himalyan landrace seeds. This was pollinated by a hermi 8-mile high. I made no plans to take cuttings and so as I had fallen in love with the wild jungli I tried the seeds outside. They were all female plants. I took cuttings and flowered them all inside as well. All but one hermied at some point in and out as I had expected this I removed them in time. The one that stayed female to the end I pollinated with a male 8-mile. Hopefully now I can start to breed out the hermi traits and select for the wild females vigor and extreme branchiness and with a little something of the 8-mile's high.

Seen alot of opinions about hermi made seeds and so was happy to try this out myself. Seems to me you will get mainly females, good chance they will hermi at some point which might not be a problem if only growing for bud but one hermi male flower can mess up an entire breeding project.

Using hermi made seeds will also end up with a lack of males to further a line so back to the same problem, and adding more hermi pollen along the way will not help matters at all.

Seems to me that the magic of breeding cannabis lives in the male plants and being able to spot the male winner is the key to creating better genetics all round.

In fact one of things that attracts me to AUTOs is there resistance to hermiing.

Great write up Hoots.Hermie/femed seeds and the whole area of discussion is shaded in some mysterious veil to this day.It is mostly because people pluck one as soon as they see it.Basically it is much harder to fem auto seeds as compared to photos.The reason is you can keep clones from the photo female and perfect a line of seeds.In autos it's a new female every time that gets pollinated.

The Female pollen can be stored for over a year but sooner or later you will exhaust the supply.Then it's basically starting from scratch with the autne method my ex boyfriend used was to keep feming seeds from a femed female.Which keeps the gene pool small but you still get variations.The longer you do this the less variation you will see in the offspring, to the point that almost every seed produces a consistent pheno and the offspring all look the same.

Hey i wanna use CS but i wanna spray on the lower buds on 3 different plants and make seeds..I was hoping by spraying the CS on the lower nugs and leaving it there covered by a plastic baggy that it will produce seeds, not pollen...Can i do this?? Have 1 week before i need to spray it on if i can do this..Also where is the best place to get it..Any help is appreciated..
