I’ve been hardening off my plant but due to bad weather i’ve had to take longer than usual when doing it.
Today i noticed these white spots on my leaves
This is common for outdoor plants, most of mine have some white dots like this. But beware of spider mites, those fuckers will fuck everything up if you dont notice them and take care of them.
I’ve seen this many times outdoors on photo period plants & agree that leaf hoppers are often present.
This year I am trying autos & due to weather they are still in the greenhouse. I have the same small irregular spots on some of those plants with no observation of leaf insects.
I will continue to monitor this but have not ever seen it develop into a group problem.
I did a bit of research this morning and came up with thrips as a potential culprit, took a sheet of white paper & shook some of the plants over it & with my Carson microbrite the tiny thrip was observed. Will have to get some yellow sticky traps to see what can be caugh.
I'm currently reading something about "leaf miner larvae" which might be what I've noticed on my plants. I could go straight to my local store and buy "BioBizz Leaf Coat" to fix it and some sticky traps to prevent this in the future? Any suggestions?
I don’t believe that’s what leaf minors look like but not saying it isn’t some sort of pest. In my experience growing outside and even inside preventive maintenance is always a good thing. I’m not sure what’s available to you cause I believe your overseas from me but would suggest looking into some sort of pest/insect spray
