Watch your trichomes. Do not go with the hairs. Hairs turn brown and orange from maturity and also other factors including hermies, pollination, and stress.

Wait until your trichomes are all cloudy (this is when it’s at its most potent and flavourful/smelly). Or you can leave it a while longer and await some of the trichomes to turn amber.

Always go with trichomes under high magnification.

Genetics, lighting and environmental factors play part too.

Oh, yes, the trichomes, instead of the hairs. Also, some strains (IME) take longer than a three week cure to hit their happiest place.

If you formerly were enjoying 'elite' clones, sometimes it is tough for a seed line to compare. Those 'elites' are sometimes the best individual in hundreds.
