They call the defoliation method schwazzing. Google it if you have not already heard about it..
Its a bit similar to the defoliation i do on outdoor photos, but i do phase 1 at first sign of preflower(taking all stalked fan leaves that shade lower bud sites) and then again mid way through flower.
 
I Love those stubby all bud pheno's........:headbang:.....makes me nostalgic...first person I saw grow them like that was @FullDuplex in the good old days...
I may have some pics of those somewhere. Little bud clubs they were. Just so dense in a small foot print.

Going to try it for autos see if it makes a difference.. or kills them lol
