Grow kit question

Maybe theres not a lot. But before i grow i want to understand topping - when to and when not to. And i want to understand training, and what nutrients to add and when, and how to read the plants to understand what symptoms they are experiencing and how to fix it, etc.

All of the stuff @damien50 lists is awesome science and not Bro-science. We could all use a quantum sensor but $$$$$$$$$$$ so unless you grow commercially it is not reasonable.
