The idea that buying bud at a dispo and getting exposesed is such a bummer. A friend brings a joint over it gets on your hands and then your plants is

This is reality people not fiction!

I didn’t even think of this. I figured just by excluding genetics that aren’t in my possession, say, for a year or two, would ensure I wouldn’t have to deal with this issue. But the fact that it can transfer from bought bud, to the grow room is definitely something to keep in mind. Scary, really.

I am absolutely OCD about handling my plants in the grow room as it is. I wash my hands thoroughly before I enter as I know various pathogens can hitch a ride on them. To boot, I wear gloves 99.9% of the time as well. After, and before each grow, I spray the walls and all equipment with Steramine Quaternary.

Edit: I won't touch anything from the Dispo, or anyone else's stash. I only trust mine own.

As of receipt of this news, me too. From now on I'm washing my hands without exception before touching my girls. I just really hate gloves so that be the extent.

I think I'm going to be really careful how I source seeds for awhile. I want to start seeing "tested for *" at seedbanks like you do for clones.

Haha nope my longest stint was 20 days in county! I was arrested with like $900 on me tho so i ate like a pig for 3 weeks! Plus u could still smoke in there at that point so had a carton of Marlboros at the ready!

I do similar….although I don’t wear gloves. I wipe the walls down with a bleach solution. The only real way something could come in is from a seed source. No dispensaries around at the moment, so that’s not an issue. Perhaps I’ll use the opportunity to make some seeds. Been putting that off for awhile now. Sounds like a great time to practice some self sufficiency

That 900 would have become property of the state round these parts

State property here too. But you can put whatever cash you had on you into commissary account and then they take it off the top when you get out

I sanitize between runs, but no way I'm that sanitary while they're growing... I prefer plucking leaves with my fingernails. I'm trying to learn to make my own seeds from older school stuff at the moment but never really considered it for that reason
