There are lots of living soil inputs and composts that don't smell like literal shit. Really, bad smells often mean something is wrong. That smell could be a sign of harmful anaerobic bacteria in your tea.

I mean, I use Alaska Fish Fertilizer, and it doesn't smell pleasant, but it still doesn't smell like a literal shit. Just funky and fishy.
 
Lol I asked hubby what I should grow off that list last night and he's like idk they're all just words to me, as long as it's good smoke I don't care 🤣🤣
I actually think it has been the best tasting smoke I have grown, I grew it as my first Bonsai
