So I had a guy trade me some seeds recently who had both Auto Livers and Mango Haze, which I assume are originally Mephisto, and they are regulars, not feminized.

I asked how he got them as regs, and he was cagey about it.

Does anyone know how this could have happened? Or is this guy just full of shit and they aren't really what they claim to be.

Well, that was the only bad buy I've had with BAS. It was absolutely full of fungus gnat larvae. I was in a rush and didn't isolate it. They made themselves evident about 10 days after Sprout. I really should have known since compost was pretty heavy. It is a dense compost, but it was water Logged.

The guys at BAS explained that they've noticed this occurrence from compost produced mainly in the fall. That is their rainy season.

It did seem to be good compost though!

I say go ahead and buy it. Go ahead and get some WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI if you're buying it at BAS. Put it in a tote and spray on the WDG3000. That's my new preventative, when I introduce new live material. Works killer in that fashion and if you have an outbreak!

Probably crossed those fem strains with a male from something else…would be my first guess.
