Oompa Loompa OG

I wondered whether you boiled the shrooms. I have not tried it, but apparently they are delicious if sliced up fresh and simmered first to extract or chemically change whatever the toxins are. As I recall there are several, just not the more deadly ones found in other members of the group. My problem is that by the time they flush, there are a lot of other edibles available that I like, so why bother with the fuss. I did not know that this species was useful for medical purposes like what you describe. Usually, they are taken raw for their hallucinogenic properties, but I suspect that most who try them fresh for that purpose do not do it twice.Yes, amanita muscaria… if done right, there’s zero nausea or unwanted anything…
I broke apart 30 grams of dried amanitas (must be dried, don’t use fresh) into coin sized pieces, added those to a pot…added two cups of water, and two cups of lemon juice, bring to a boil, then simmer for thirty minutes, cool, strain and dose out thirty equal doses…. And freeze whatever you’re not gonna use in the next several days.
Nausea apparently is caused by the ibotinic acid…..which gets decarbed in the boiling process (the lemon juice puts it into the optimal ph for the decarb) into muscimol.
Zero nausea, zero unwanted side effects. Excellent pain relief (works on the gabba receptors) and excellent anxiety meds….plus helps with sleep. I’m taking a one gram microdose, twice a day (each cup is the equivalent of a gram).

Edited to switch nicotinic acid to ibotinic acid…

No, I was serious. You must dry the mushrooms first….otherwise you will get nausea and some other nasty side effects. And they taste terrible, but that’s not the point..but apparently they are delicious if sliced up fresh and simmered first to extract or chemically change whatever the toxins are.
