I am also serious about their edibility if processed in boiling water. As I said, I have not done it, but multiple reliable sources describe identical or similar processes for the same result, edible, delicious, and no obnoxious effects. It is possible that for medicinal purposes, the drying is needed in addition to the boiling, but I have no information on that. When processing for food, the water is dicarded, I have never heard of anyone using the liquid before your mention of it.No, I was serious. You must dry the mushrooms first….otherwise you will get nausea and some other nasty side effects. And they taste terrible, but that’s not the point..
