I don't have any of those kind of batteries laying around. It charges. When it heats up, it gets to like 340* and then gives the error and turns off. I'll see what arizer says and maybe get another battery and try that
It could be the battery... Is it charging quicker than normal? Draining faster than normal?

Not sure about charging. Maybe draining a little faster, but nothing super noticeable. It's the wife's vape. She said it's been giving the error for a couple of weeks, but if she just keeps turning it on eventually it works, until today apparently

What battery is it?

I use these in all my devices. At 35 amps, they leave little room for error even when they begin to weaken. Batteries tend to begin malfunctioning near the end of their lifespan. A typical lifespan for a heavily used 18650 is usually about 1 year. And lower Amp cells tends to malfunction more so than a higher Amp cell.
