How do you keep the fabric pots out the drainage water?
Currently using 2 gallon plastic pots and want to upgrade to 3 gallon pots.

I was also thinking about kitchen racks, grill racks, firm aluminum netting etc. but i'm not sure if metal is a good idea, will it release metal into the pots?

Pot elevators work best. Problem is that even though they’re cheap, a lot of places charge a lot to ship them. All of the hydro stores around here have been out. So I think I bought around a half dozen from Hydro Pros in Michigan and shipping was about $10. Which was the best I found.

I’ve been using some “strawberry supports” that are cheap on Amazon. The “legs” are removable so I just use these when I run short of pot elevators. The other nice thing is you can easily trim them down if you have small pot drip pans.

I use the pot elevators as posted above. They’re excellent if you’re doing something like high-frequency fertigation in coco and you have lots of runoff to deal with every day.

Before coco, I used beach stones/pebbles in a cheap plastic saucer to keep the pots from sitting in the water. This is another option if you’re in soil or peat and watering less frequently. With high-frequency watering however, the stones becomes a recipe for growing algae lol.

As Astral said the metal kitchen shelves would work great.
I use high frequency fertigation in coco with mine and I built a drain table.
2x4 legs and square frame with cross pieces to support 1/4 hardware cloth and then stapled plastic across bottom, cut a hole in middle and drain bucket underneath. Multiple grows and has worked great for me.
