I'm reading up on doing a solo cup grow and I keep reading about cutting the roots or rootball, what is this can someone tell me as I wouldn't have a clue about that,
also if anyone has experience growing in cup using soil can you give me some advice please,

I have trimmed roots on mothers that weren't in air pots but it's not something I do often. Every 6-12 months and if they are in air pots I don't do it at all.

It's used for bonsai mothers but I wouldn't trim roots if I was going to flower the plant any time soon
